PRIVACY & DATA POLICY

Your data stays yours.

A plain-language overview of how NFG Bay handles personal information and business data.

OUR COMMITMENT

NFG Bay does not sell personal information.

We do not sell personal information for money, and we do not exchange it for targeted advertising. We use data only to provide, secure, support and improve NFG Bay, or as required by law.

Policy draft for transparency and planning. Qualified legal counsel should review the final policy, applicable jurisdictions and actual product practices before public launch.

1. Scope

This policy applies to information handled through NFG Bay websites, products, early-access programs and support interactions. A customer organization may separately control the business data placed in its workspace.

2. Information we collect

Depending on the services used, we may process account and contact details, workspace records, billing and transaction details, device and usage information, and communications sent to support. We aim to collect only what is reasonably needed.

3. How we use information

  • Provide, operate and personalize the platform.
  • Authenticate users and protect accounts.
  • Process requested transactions and deliver support.
  • Maintain reliability, troubleshoot problems and improve workflows.
  • Meet legal, safety and compliance obligations.

4. We do not sell information

NFG Bay does not sell personal information. We also do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising. If our practices ever materially change, we will update this policy and provide any choices required by law before the change applies.

5. When information may be shared

Information may be shared only when a customer directs us to do so; with carefully selected service providers needed to run the platform; to comply with valid legal obligations or protect safety; or during a business transaction subject to appropriate protections. Service providers may use information only to perform their contracted work for NFG Bay.

6. Security and retention

We use administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No system can promise absolute security. We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, contractual commitments and legal requirements, then delete or de-identify it according to documented procedures.

7. Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law and account permissions, people may request access, correction, export or deletion of their personal information. Workspace administrators may manage many records directly. Identity verification may be required before a request is completed.

8. Children

NFG Bay is intended for business use and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the service.

9. Updates and contact

We will post material policy updates here. Privacy questions and requests can be submitted through the NFG Bay Support Center. Sign in to your company account to create a ticket.

Shared VIN repair history

Approved company users with workshop or fleet access can search repair summaries by a complete VIN. Shared results contain only the VIN, a reviewed repair note, service date and warranty information. They do not include the source company, customer identity, employee identity, prices, invoices or attachments.

Company owners and administrators review repair-only summaries from their own workshop work orders, service records and vehicle projects before sharing. The website owner can review NFG Tuning work orders for the same history. Raw notes remain private. Reviewers must remove company names, customer details, contact information and other identifying content from both the note and warranty text. These records are not sold or used for targeted advertising.

A VIN identifies a vehicle, so this history is not described as fully anonymous. Use searches only for an authorized repair, service or warranty purpose. Do not search to identify a customer or company, build marketing lists, scrape records or make insurance, credit or employment decisions.

Shared notes can be corrected or withdrawn by the authorized reviewer. Changes to an underlying source withdraw its previously reviewed summary until it is reviewed again. A missing result is not proof that a vehicle has never been repaired. Warranty text records the stated coverage and limitations; it does not create a new guarantee or automatically transfer warranty rights.

Ask your company administrator to correct a source record or withdraw a shared note. You can also submit a privacy request through the Support Center. We verify access and identity before disclosing or changing private records.

Company activity and invoice details

Company owners and authorized administrators can review activity within their company, including the actor, date, action, record and recorded changes. Older system actions may have no identifiable actor. Activity records are read-only through the workspace. Invoice logos and business details are used in customer documents; do not upload personal identifiers or payment credentials.

Public DOT and MC lookup

Carrier lookup sends the USDOT or MC number you enter directly to the U.S. Department of Transportation public data service. It displays public FMCSA registration records. It does not send private customer records, repair notes or your company account information, and does not automatically add or update a customer.
